´ºÃÎÖ±²¥ Tackling Climate Change Fund

The Tackling Climate Change Fund aims to support ´ºÃÎÖ±²¥ affiliated Cricket Clubs to mitigate the impact of Climate Change with a focus on flooding, drought, energy saving, and water management.

Who can apply?

The scheme is open to all ´ºÃÎÖ±²¥ affiliated cricket clubs in England and Wales.

What type of projects are eligible?

  • Flood Resilience – building protection / targeted drainage / ditch or culvert clearance
  • Drought Resilience – rainwater harvesting / bore holes / square irrigation
  • Heat Resilience – awnings / ventilation / planting
  • Energy Saving – Insulation / LED lighting / Solar PV / Solar Thermal / energy-efficient heating systems / double or triple glazing / EV Chargers / Energy efficient (kitchen) appliances
  • Water Management – Water-saving sanitaryware / greywater recycling / SUDS & Stormwater attenuation
  • Electric mower or roller (maximum grant of 25% of costs only) 

How much can be applied for?

Clubs can typically apply for between £1,000 (minimum) and £15,000 (maximum) per application.

How to apply

Due to exceptional demand (four times the value of the initial funding available), this scheme has exceeded its provisional funding limit and is now closed to new applications.

  • If you have not yet applied for the TCCF, you are currently unable to start a new application. Given the success of the fund, we are hoping to run it again in future. In the meantime, you may wish to consider an EWCT Interest Free Loan.

  • If you have already received a TCCF contract offer letter via DocuSign, then your award is unaffected by this closure, and your project will need to be completed (and the grant claimed) by the date specified in your contract offer letter.

  • Projects already submitted for review will be considered on feasibility and impact rather than on a first-come-first-served basis. Please note that approval of an Expression of Interest means that the basic scheme criteria have been met, and that we are requesting more information in a full application. Approval of an Expression of Interest does not guarantee that your Club's project will be funded. Decisions on funding are made at the full application stage.
